A former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad has died at Saudi Arabia.
A statement from Bauchi state government confirmed his death.
An indigene of Bauchi State, Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad served as Chief Justice of Nigeria from 2019 to 2022 during the administration of late President Muhammadu Buhari.
Aged 71, the former Chief Justice died following protracted illness.
Commenting on the death, the Bauchi state Governor, Bala Mohammed described Tanko's death as monumental loss to the entire country.
